Instil in our child/children a genuine love for BOOKS.
Start a reading habit if you haven’t. Let them pick their books and encourage them to READ IT. Trust me; sometimes they prefer to do something else like using their phones.
I told my girls that they could use their phones to their advantage by utilising Google ‘play books’. Reading is an essential skill for success in schoolwork. It develops a child’s imagination which helps with understanding what they read. Reading with understanding is vital. I can tell if my daughters know what they read by asking questions.
Oh, I have so much to say about ‘reading’ but I won’t because I don’t want to bore you.
